THIS is really the very end of class

They do a little closing ritual and then go to the wall to get stamps on their hands. (STAMPS!!!) Teacher Jessica gave the girls Eyore on one hand and a butterfly on the other.

Francesca has a new ballet class!

Because it's at the same time (9am) as Blaize's class, I couldn't get many photos... This is at the very end of class. Just 2 other girls in the class with teacher Jessica. Only one other today. Francesca LOVED it. She'd been asking about ballet for a while, so we thought it was time to give it another try.

Blaize has a new gymnastics class!

It's a parent participation class. This fun trampoline/boat exercise was the last activity of class, the capper if you will. And yes, he wanted to wear Francesca's tutu. What am I going to say? You go, Blaize! Fortunately, it's Portland, so no one blinked an eye...

Much ado about Charlie

This adorable terrier-poodle mix came up to us at the end of our midday Saturday Buckman visit. Played tug of war and let F and B throw his precious mini frisbee. We developed quite a little dog crush and began talking about getting a dog 'in our next house.'

Francesca in super girl action!

She can go all the way across all by herself!!!

Francesca the spinner!

To answer Nana's earlier comment question about the Mr. Rogers post, she calls him Mr. Rogers! (That's a reflection of her fandom- she now gets his name right!) :p

Francesca Bullrider!

At neighborhood Ole Ole restaurant, which gets nearly all of our burrito dollar.

Francesca has become a HUGE Mr. Rogers fan

She no longer calls him Mr. Roberts... She likes 'X the Owl' puppet the best. Make believe rules. Trolley power!

Elliot demonstrates the headstand.

Francesca is impressed with Delaney's bar skills and Elliot's balance.

Sunday

Mostly a home day, since Blaize was sick. But Francesca and I did go to church, where I spotted this sweet sign, which really says it all, I think.

Happy little firewoman!

75 cents: well spent. (not really, but oh well!)

When I got home yesterday, I found this...

A beautiful note and this balloon, especially for me from Francesca and which is the first thing that Francesca ever bought with her own money. One dollar: well spent! Heart: melted!!
