Francesca made these pillows for mommy!

We names them Rose and Lilly. Lilly is the little one and we decided Francesca will cuddle with that one and I will cuddle with Rose. She made them at Grandma Ellen's and kept it a surprise for me. So, so sweet...

It was so great we only took two pictures!

This is us with Lewis & Clark and the main Seaside drag in the background.

Did you know this about sea otters?

They have the warmest fur of any mammal. In an area the size of a penny there can be up to 300 thousand strands of hair, the Zoo worker told us. The fur is super soft.

And now, we're at THE ZOO!!!

SPRING BREAK!!! and HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANA! Wish you were here!

Francesca got suddenly overcome with missing Uncle Francis

We found a bracelet of grandpa Francis' during some spring break cleaning, which led to talking about uncle Francis, which is what preceded this speech...

RE: BFFs on Spring Break, 2015

Thanks so much for watching April yesterday--she had a great time!

Blaize and the llamas

He was not into the llamas at all, inscrutably. He had a great time at the farm regardless (nature!) (how many times can we praise it?) and found a worm which we attempted to feed to Michelangelo, the turtle. Michelangelo was not quite done hibernating however, and was impervious to the charms of the wriggling edible before him...

Whoops, actually THIS one is Fonzie...

The brown one in the previous post is Sonny. The Frost Trahan blog regrets the error.

Don, April and Francesca with Fonzie

Fonzie, as in The Fonz, from Happy Days... Heeeeeyyyyy....

We went to Don Berg's friend Joyce's Llama ranch!

Lovelies leading llamas... Technically it's a Y sound in llama but who's counting!

And this masterpiece from Blaize- don't look, Nana!

I think it captures a wild, vibrant aliveness that is very much part of Nana Brooke.

Nana's birthday spoiler alert

This is among the pictures going in the mail today. (March 27 is the big day.)
