Francesca loves her polar bear that Grandmommy and Grandpa got her at the zoo. We tried to name him Paul, but Francesca said No, when we asked if that was his name. The best way to descibe what Francesca says his name is: clench your teeth and say, 'Hashish.'
We have been quite entertained by Francesca and Hashish the polar bear.

It's Francesca's birthday party day today! This morning she is helping daddy put together Blaize's new exersaucer. Blaize is supervising. Exersauce is very important.

(She'll open another few presents tonight --including the CA grandparents ZOO extraveganza present. We'll also talk up the very cool Gma Ellen subsciption to Kids' National Geographic-she loves that!)

The kalidoscope was not so much of a hit--except as a rattle, which Francesca thought was really its better function.

When she saw there was fingerpaint PAPER to paint on she wanted to paint IMMEDIATELY. It took a little convincing to get her to open her other presents and wait til later on. . .

When she got the paper off these finger paints she was very excited.
